I am a second grade teacher in Streamwood, Illinois. I believe there is the perfect book out there for each student – and it is my job to help them find it! I love reading great children’s literature and sharing these stories with my students. My hope for my students from fall to summer is to improve their attitude towards reading. I want them to leave my room with a positive thought of reading.

Zuhair, you are very sweet. But I want you to promise me you will come talk to me about what you’re reading, regardless of what I am teaching.

We don’t use reading levels, we practice finding just right books.
